The Test

This month Nathan and I decided we would start trying for baby number 2. We figured it would take 3-6 months to get pregnant and I wanted the next baby to be born in Spring 2010. Well, it only took us one try... My period was about 2 days late, so I bought a pregnancy test yesterday afternoon. Got home and I was about to put it in the bathroom so it would be ready for me to take in the morning. Then I decided I had to pee now, there are 2 in the box... might as well just take one now. If it's negative I would just take the other one in a few days. So I open the box and sit down. Jack is banging on the door "Mama, Mama!" I'm trying to concentrate and make sure the test is only in the stream for 5 seconds. I realize it's really hard to count 5 seconds while Jack is yelling and banging on the door and I am trying to pee! As soon as the pink started to move across the window there were 2 lines!! WHAT! I walk out of the bathroom and hand the test to Nathan, who didn't even know I had bought a test, and said "Happy Father's Day!" The look on his face was exactly the same as when we found out I was pregnant with Jack. Smiling and shocked all at the same time. We are both in shock! How could this have happened for us so fast?!
